CD Unwrap of “Chemtrails over the Country Club”

This is a quick video of me unwrapping a CD of Lana Del Rey’s 7th Album Chemtrails over the Country Club released in March 19, 2021.

This video was recorded in Sept 26, 2021 and uploaded to YouTube Dec 28, 2022. A year later! I can’t believe it took this long but I finally decided to just upload it even if a year late. This is my first CD unwrap video and even though I did it on a whim and its not perfect, it probably wont be the last. I figure I can only improve from here. So, I am thinking of doing a few more unwrapping videos in the near future.

My last attempt at unboxing was in 2016. I am trying again this time but decided to start with the unwrapping of a CD since I am starting to buy them again.

This was my first CD purchase in probably 20 years. I got it at a local record store in Tampa FL called Sound Exchange. My previous CD purchase was probably in the late 90’s in a Tower Records in NYC.

After this recent CD purchase I have gone on to buy a few more which I may also record as I unwrap them.

Blog Update 2022

Hello. It’s been a while. I admit I have abandoned this blog since 2016. But in the last few months I have made it my mission to update the site and start blogging once again about the random things in life.

So, I created a custom child theme based on the WordPress Twenty Twenty theme, which I really like. This update took several weekends to do but I finally got it done and I am happy with the end result.

The last blog update I wrote was in 2015. My son Gabriel was 4 years old then. Its been 7 years! and of course a lot has happened since 2015. So I will highlight the main events that have had an impact on my life. I will start by mentioning one very important one, which is the birth of my second child Alan in 2017. Gabriel was 6 when Alan was born. He was very excited to get a little brother. To see both Alan and Gabriel grow, from Kindergarten to 6 grade! and all the adventures in between, have been a blast.

Here is a quick recap of the times since 2015.

My unboxing Video for the Audio Technica ATH M40x

Yes, another unboxing video for another electronic gadget.. but you can’t really get enough of these when you are trying to make a purchasing decision.

Ok, so here are my thoughts ..

You may find these a bit tight if you are not used to over the ear headsets, just know there is a ‘break in’ period and then they will feel ‘just right’. I have been using them for about a week (since the making of this video) and they feel better than the day I got them.

My Book list for 2016

This is my ‘To-Read’ list for the year 2016. I am making it a goal to read these books before the year ends. These are books that have been highly recommended and are praised as ‘must read’ for any aspiring entrepreneur. Most of these have been suggested by successful pod-casters like Pat Flynn and Ryan Moran.

This list is in no particular order. After I read the book I will write my thoughts on it here. For now, you can check out what others are saying on Amazon and see which ones you want to add to your own reading list.

The new home for my Blog.

Hi there visitor.hsnyc-gabi-henry-at-cafe

If you ever came across this website in the past (unlikely) you may have noticed what looks like a personal blog about random things and ramblings on anything from my opinion on an actor, news, or some new technology.. and that is exactly what it is.

I started to write silly stuff back in 2009 by opening a WordPress.com blog and using it to journal things I felt I needed to write down. Perhaps to look back one day and reminisce on things going on in my life at the time of writing. At the beginning I wrote fairly frequent and then it became infrequent until I finally stopped in June 2013. Moving forward to today I have now moved the site from hsnyc.wordpress.com to my own server at SiteGround where it now lives as a personal blog for me and whomever stumbles upon it and cares to read my silliness.

Today is Dec 31, 2015 and one of my resolutions for 2016 is to write more on this blog. The other is to read more books. I will be compiling a ‘To Read’ list of books I am interested in reading in 2016. I will probably list it on this blog when I am done compiling it that way I can reference it easily, share it, and update the list as I finish each book.

Well, that is all for now. If you have read this far I Thank You. I wish you and yours a happy and prosperous new year.

How I quit my Cable/Satellite dependence and declared freedom!

I used to pay $50+ a month for Cable/ Satellite. First to Verizon, then to Dish. I consider Dish to have better service than Verizon (Customer service and programming) but every 6 months or so I would have to call Dish support to have a tech fix my satellite due to natural causes (Rain, Wind, Storms etc) So when my satellite took another dive recently I decided to call it quits.
So I began to gather data on what it will take for me to simulate my current setup, which consists mostly of being able to record shows that I like, which are mostly from channels that broadcast over the air, and be able to get them in HD.

One of the many dances in the Dominican Republic

I laughed as I sat and watched this dance. I enjoyed it too. At times it seems that the women is made out of clay or some unbreakable material cuz ‘wow’. That’s all I got for this post.
