My unboxing Video for the Audio Technica ATH M40x

Yes, another unboxing video for another electronic gadget.. but you can’t really get enough of these when you are trying to make a purchasing decision.

Ok, so here are my thoughts ..

You may find these a bit tight if you are not used to over the ear headsets, just know there is a ‘break in’ period and then they will feel ‘just right’. I have been using them for about a week (since the making of this video) and they feel better than the day I got them.

I will say the sound is super clear in comparison to the Sony’s I have. It is well rounded and balanced from the highs to the lows. After trying these I must say that I agree with all the reviews I read on Amazon about how good the sound quality is.

Read the Amazon reviews for the Audio Technica ATH-M40x headsets.

The bad, for me, is that they do not include a short cable (the typical 3 footer). The included cables are just too long to carry around for everyday music listening.

The included cables are a 10ft straight cable and a 5ft coiled cable which is the one I use since it is the shortest (5ft coiled). I will probably end up getting the short 3.9 ft cable which I wish would have been included with the headsets. The coiled cables are just too long and heavy (they drag down my phone from my desk all the time) to use for casual music listening.

The mentioned Sony headset is a Sony MDRZX110AP ZX.

Let me know if you have any questions about these headsets and I will be happy to help.

I hope you like the video and that it was helpful in making your buying decision easier.

p.s Sorry for the areas where the video was out of focus, I will do better next time :)

My Book list for 2016

This is my ‘To-Read’ list for the year 2016. I am making it a goal to read these books before the year ends. These are books that have been highly recommended and are praised as ‘must read’ for any aspiring entrepreneur. Most of these have been suggested by successful podcasters like Pat Flynn and Ryan Moran.

This list is in no particular order. After I read the book I will write my thoughts on it here. For now, you can check out what others are saying on Amazon and see which ones you want to add to your own reading list.

Without further delay, here is the list of books and please let me know your thoughts if you have read any of these and which books you would recommend I add to my reading list.

The new home for my Blog.

Hi there visitor.hsnyc-gabi-henry-at-cafe

If you ever came across this website in the past (unlikely) you may have noticed what looks like a personal blog about random things and ramblings on anything from my opinion on an actor, news, or some new technology.. and that is exactly what it is.

I started to write silly stuff back in 2009 by opening a blog and using it to journal things I felt I needed to write down. Perhaps to look back one day and reminisce on things going on in my life at the time of writing. At the beginning I wrote fairly frequent and then it became infrequent until I finally stopped in June 2013. Moving forward to today I have now moved the site from to my own server at SiteGround where it now lives as a personal blog for me and whomever stumbles upon it and cares to read my silliness.

Today is Dec 31, 2015 and one of my resolutions for 2016 is to write more on this blog. The other is to read more books. I will be compiling a ‘To Read’ list of books I am interested in reading in 2016. I will probably list it on this blog when I am done compiling it that way I can reference it easily, share it, and update the list as I finish each book.

Well, that is all for now. If you have read this far I Thank You. I wish you and yours a happy and prosperous new year.

How I quit my Cable/Satellite dependence and declared freedom!

I used to pay $50+ a month for Cable/ Satellite. First to Verizon, then to Dish. I consider Dish to have better service than Verizon (Customer service and programming) but every 6 months or so I would have to call Dish support to have a tech fix my satellite due to natural causes (Rain, Wind, Storms etc) So when my satellite took another dive recently I decided to call it quits.

So I began to gather data on what it will take for me to simulate my current setup, which consists mostly of being able to record shows that I like, which are mostly from channels that broadcast over the air, and be able to get them in HD.

Busy Year

Its been a busy year for me. As you can see I have been ‘away’ from this Blog since December 2010. Since then I had my first child – Gabriel Marcello, and I open his very own Blog here in WordPress . He is the joy of my life. I am still telling myself “I just had a child; I am a father!” He is 3 months now.

I have also decided to continue my classes towards a Computer Science degree. I will try to catalog my class experience during my journey in this Blog –> Computer Science diaries. My goal is to one day be able to invent something that would help make the planet a better place to live. Cliche? yes, but true. I don’t want to get rich, but if I happen to get money for my invention, then I will do the same thing Bill Gates and others like him are doing – give out to the world to help others. I admire that and therefore I am making it my mission too.
